GCSE courses have a lot of benefits for aspiring students, and it does not always have to be expensive. The prices you pay are wholly invested back into your exams and qualifications, to give you the best service available. The exam fees contribute to extra educational material to provide and aid both students and teachers. Typically, the school or college centres where you study, would pay for your assessments as it their responsibility to assist and provide you with those resources. As a student between the ages of 14 to 16, your GCSE exams taken are free.
Private Exams
It really depends on the centre you choose. Some places will only charge you the fee of the individual test paper, whilst others will expect an admin fee or other contributions to manage room hire and invigilators. The cost of taking private GCSE exams range typically between £30 to £100, dependable on the specific GCSE’s you wish to take. Better rates are available by asking around different centres. The most common exam boards are AQA, Edexcel and Cambridge Assessment International. They are most frequently booked online, and it is best to keep check on their exam dates so you can sit your GCSE’s on time. AQA and Edexcel provide lists for centres which accept private candidates; however, you may need to reach out further with a call or email in order to secure a place and date.
Entry deadlines
On the exam board websites, you can search up a list which will provide you with entry dates and deadlines, so you don’t miss out on the opportunity to sit your GCSE’s. They usually start around September or October time – the earlier you book the better. It is important you do not miss out on any of the entry dates, because there may be additional fees to pay for late entries.
