There are several ways to which one can begin revising for an exam, and panicking is not one of them – seriously, don’t panic! Not everyone can learn by reading through notes, that’s why there’s more than one technique of revising. Some students learn best by listening to notes, discussing material with others, or even moving around whilst studying. Early start
Getting an early start on your revision will help you plan out your material in a much clearer and more understandable way. Try not to convolute and pace yourself months before the exam.
Set a goal
Allowing yourself a short deadline on a topic will maintain a clear and fresh routine to keep you motivated and learning better. Setting goals can help you organise your time efficiently and keep your mind recharged.
Revise with others
Studying doesn’t have to be lonely. Call a friend or a bunch and have them test you. Discussing answers and possible ideas with one another can help retain information faster.
Practice papers
As they say, practise makes perfect! Doing questions beforehand will prepare you for similar styled questions on the exam.
Take breaks
You don’t always have to be cramming your brain with notes – take a break, a long walk, a favourite hobby. Whatever helps you keep your mind rejuvenated and motivated.
Sleep!
Don’t forget the most fundamental step. Sleeping is a must; it helps retain all the wonderful information you’ve learned throughout the day.
