Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. By registering your child(ren) with Excel 2 Learn (Bolton) C.I.C. trading as “My School Tutor” (“the Centre”), you agree to be bound by them. Please retain a copy for your records.

Registration and Agreement
• By completing registration, the parent/guardian confirms acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and agrees to pay all applicable fees for the subjects and services requested.
• These Terms and Conditions constitute a binding agreement between the parent/guardian and the Centre.

Learner Conduct and Attendance
1. Learners must arrive on time for lessons and participate positively.
2. Learners are expected to remain enrolled for a minimum of 8 weeks to allow tutors and management to monitor and provide meaningful feedback on progress.
3. Parents/guardians must:
• Supervise younger children in the waiting area until their session begins.
• Collect children promptly at the end of each session.
• Accept that the Centre bears no responsibility for learners before sessions start or after they leave the premises.
4. Learners must behave appropriately while waiting for sessions. Inappropriate behaviour or damage to property may result in parental involvement and possible dismissal from the Centre.
5. Learners must:
• Walk calmly and safely within the Centre.
• Listen to tutors, avoid disruption, and refrain from talking while teaching is in progress.
• Treat all staff and fellow learners with respect.
6. Prohibited behaviours include (but are not limited to):
• Excessive disruption.
• Inappropriate or abusive language.
• Violence or aggressive conduct.
These may lead to immediate dismissal without refund.

Fees and Payment
7. Payment Structure:
• £13.50 one-time registration fee.
• £54 per 4-week cycle for 1 subject.
• £100 per 4-week cycle for 2 subjects.
• £150 per 4-week cycle for 3 subjects.
• 1:1 sessions and 11+/Entrance exam preparation start from £20 per hour.
8. Payment Terms:
• All payments are by Direct Debit in advance on a rolling 4-week cycle.
• The Centre does not accept single-session payments or payment in arrears.
• Payments are non-refundable once collected, including where sessions are missed, cancelled, or part-attended.
• At the Centre’s discretion, consideration may be given in cases of illness or pre-booked holidays notified in advance.
9. Missed Sessions:
• The Centre has no obligation to reschedule missed sessions.
• Re-booking may be possible subject to availability, but refunds will not be issued under any circumstances.
10. If a parent stops payments during a 4-week cycle, the learner may attend remaining sessions within that cycle but no refunds will be issued.
11. To cancel an enrolment, parents must give a minimum of two weeks’ written notice before the end of the current 4-week cycle. Failure to do so may result in the next cycle’s fees being charged.
12. Re-joining learners will incur a £5 administration fee.

Session Structure
13. Each session lasts 1 hour (with an additional 10 minutes at the Centre’s discretion).
14. The Centre accepts no responsibility for learners outside of their scheduled session time.

Behaviour, Property, and Equipment
15. Learners must keep classrooms tidy and return all borrowed books and stationery.
16. Mobile phones may not be used during lessons. Confiscated phones will be returned at the end of the session.
17. Parents/guardians are liable for any costs arising from deliberate damage to property caused by their child(ren).

Safeguarding, Health, and Safety
18. Parents/guardians must inform the Centre, at registration and on an ongoing basis, of:

• Any medical condition, allergy, or regular medication.
• Any changes to emergency contact details or addresses.

19. The Centre follows safeguarding and health & safety policies. Running within the premises is not permitted.

Educational Commitment
20. The Centre does not guarantee specific academic outcomes, exam results, or entry to selective/private schools.
21. The Centre commits to supporting learners’ progress through consolidation of existing knowledge, using school reports and assessments where appropriate.
22. Parents are expected to support this process by keeping the Centre updated on school progress and raising any concerns promptly.

Acceptance of Terms

By registering a learner, the parent/guardian:
• Confirms they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
• Agrees to comply with all Centre policies, rules, and regulations, as may be amended from time to time.
• Acknowledges that information collected is for Centre use only and will not be shared with third parties except as required by law.

Agreement made by parent/guardian and Excel 2 Learn (Bolton) C.I.C t/a My School Tutor (collectively referred to herein as the “Centre”)

The Parent/guardian is registering the child(ren) and agrees to the payment structure for the subjects requested.

1) The learner must arrive on time for lessons and take part positively.
2) My School Tutor requests the learner remain at the centre for a minimum of 8 weeks. This will enable tutors and management to provide feedback on learner progress.
3) It is compulsory for parents to wait with younger children in the waiting area until their session time and collect children at the end. It is the parents responsibility to collect ALL children on time from the centre. My School Tutor cannot take responsibility of any incidents before or after sessions and after the children have left the premises.
4) Learners are to behave whilst waiting for their session. Inappropriate behaviour or damage may be cause for parent involvement and dismissal from the centre.
5) Payments for sessions are collected by Direct Debit on a 4 weekly cycle and in advance only. Single session payments will not be accepted. Payments will not be collected in arrears. Payments are non-refundable for any cancellations or absences part way through a 4 week cycle however, discretion is applied to instances of sickness and pre booked holidays.
6) Fees are as follows:
£13.50 registration fee (payable once)
£50 - 1 subject
£100 - 2 subjects
£150 - 3 subjects
1 to 1 sessions and 11+/Entrance exam prep start from £20 per hour
7) Where sessions are missed for whatever reason, the centre will have no obligation to re-schedule. However, sessions may be re-booked pending availability. Missed sessions WILL NOT BE REFUNDED under any circumstances.
If payments are stopped part way through a 4 week cycle customers will have the option to ensure their children attend the remainder of the sessions.
8) Management must be made aware of any cancellations a minimum of 2 weeks before the end of the 4 week cycle to ensure correct cancellation of any payment agreements. Management need to be made aware of this in writing to avoid any disputes.
9) If any parent wishes to re-join as a returning customer, a £5 administration fee will apply.
10) Each session is 1 HOUR (10 MINUTES may be given as additional time). The centre will not be held responsible for any actions or behaviours occurring outside this time period.
11) Respect should be given to all staff.
12) Excessive disruptive behaviour may result in parent involvement and dismissal from the centre.
13) Inappropriate or abusive language to staff or to fellow learners will not be tolerated.
14) Classrooms should be left neat, clean and tidy, folders should be put away correctly and borrowing of books or stationary should be returned to the centre.
15) Usage of mobile phones during the session will result in confiscation of the item and will be returned at the end of session.
16) Learners MUST walk sensibly to their designated classroom. For health and safety of the children, running is not allowed.
17) Learners should listen to the tutor, answer questions where necessary, and NOT talk whilst the tutor is teaching.
18) The centre or its staff provide no guarantee of top exam grades or entry in to private schools. We ensure that progress is taking place through consolidation of assumed existing knowledge based on school reports and results of any assessments. We request parents help us to do this by keeping the centre up to date with their child’s progress at school and to bring any concerns to our attention in the first instance.
19) Violence is PROHIBITED and will not be tolerated by any centre staff. The centre will have the right to dismiss learners permanently if any sort of violence is displayed.
20) It is the parents responsibility to inform staff at the time of registration if the child has any illness or is on regular medication. If the circumstances change part way parents should inform the centre manager immediately.
21) Parents should make the centre manager aware of any changes in address or contact numbers, should there be an emergency.

Upon acceptance of the Learner to the centre, My School Tutor and the Parent/guardian will be bound by all the policies, rules, and regulations as may be published and amended by the centre from time to time and to the terms of this registration form.

Established over 14 years ago, My School Tutor has been providing affordable private Tuition and Study Support to students at our centres across the North West. Over the years we have helped thousands of students to confidently achieve meaningful academic success enabling them to go further and fulfil their potential. Some of our success stories over the years have included students going on to study and graduate in fields such as Teaching, Engineering, Dentistry and Medicine. We offer tuition in English, Maths & Science at both Secondary and Primary level. My School Tutor can also support with 11+/Entrance exams and A Levels. Our centres provide small group based tuition with no more than six students per group, where 1 or even 2 tutors provide personalised, tailored support. Focus is applied on the topics students need the most support with, ensuring they have the necessary skills, knowledge and good practice. Additionally, we can offer 1:1 support upon request where students can learn at their own pace at a time that is more convenient. Take a look at availability at one of our centres and book your place. All sessions at one of our centres are 1 hour 10 minutes in duration. We also provide our own books, resources and stationary.   Our professional tutors are qualified, experienced and DBS cleared, providing you that added peace of mind. In addition, we provide student progress reports, recording the students learning on a tracker for you to view and query anytime.
